I do not prevent you from celebrating your Holidays

I am respectful of people's beliefs and I have my own. I am christian and though, like many religions, I would like others to share my beliefs, if you are not interested I will not force the issue and will respect your views. Not all Christians share this view, I admit, and should stop trying to force opinions on others, but some atheists need to stop getting so offended when we are celebrating our holidays. I'm sorry you don't like us celebrating Christmas or Easter and that you get so offended when we decorate for these holidays but the first amendment, that you so like to throw around, gives us that right. And schools or government buildings that wish to put up decorations are not forcing you to celebrate with us. They are not saying that you need to believe in Jesus and God or else. I sure if you asked for it, if you celebrate another holiday at this time of year, you could get them to put up displays for your holidays as well. Now I differ form many Christians in this way but I hold true to this idea. It is after all why the pilgrims left to settle the new world. And if you don't have a religion, don't get mad because we celebrate ours and that people who work in government celebrate the same and want to decorate. If you had a holiday you celebrate then we can decorate for that too. Bottom line is that when I see you I will say "Merry Christmas" and will not worry if it offends you because that is my right, to celebrate my holiday. If you are Jewish feel free to say "Happy Chaunnakah" or any other religion can use their holiday greeting during their holiday and personally I take it as a compliment. If you don't believe in a god then you can just thank me and say "Happy Holidays". So I will celebrate my holiday and no amount of complaining you do will stop ne from doing so. And you can celebrate yours without any complaint from me. If we can get everybody to join in on this, then maybe we can get through a holiday season without people getting so offended that someone is celebrating their holiday. I direct this to Christians, Atheists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddists, and people of all faiths. Stop getting so offended!
